The outline planning application to build up to 80 new houses on land at Manor Farm has been submitted to and verified by the SSDC Planning department.

The applicant, Origin 3 on behalf of Gleeson Strategic Land Development, has provided a very comprehensive information package in support of this application. Members of the public as consultees, are entitled to comment on any aspect of the application and have the choice to support, object or comment only on the proposal. The deadline for comments to be received by SSDC is 30th January 2020. 

Comments can be submitted using the comments section on the application page itself (see above link), by email to Planning@southsomerset.gov.uk or by letter to The SSDC Planning Department, Brympton Way, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2HT.

The Parish Council is also a consultee in this matter but has no additional impact on this process compared to any individual member of the public. We understand that one of the factors considered by SSDC is the number of respondents giving their views on an application – a large number of individual comments are better than a single comment from a group of people.
