On Saturday 4th July we were able to open all of the recreation ground facilities. The government issues guidelines on 26th June and since then a small group of parish councillors have worked extremely hard to ensure that we could meet the necessary guidelines for safe operation.
A full equipment inspection and clean was carried out to prepare for the opening. Additionally, a risk assessment, to ensure we could meet all aspects of the guidelines, was carried out and a series of new signs were designed and positioned clarifying the new advice for safe use of the Children’s Play Area, the BMX track and the Tennis Courts. The new signage is intended to ensure that all users are able to understand the new rules which have been put in place to minimise the risk of spreading the Covid -19 virus to others – so please take care to follow them.
In parallel the Social club team also opened the Sports and Social club with new procedures in place to protect both staff and patrons in the club bar. These rules have been widely communicated and are in place in the club – again please make sure you follow them so the club can remain open.
